Goals for 2022

One year seems to go by so fast. It’s already 2022! At the beginning of each new year, I set goals for the year ahead. So let’s go!

I hope to finish my Web Design program in the first half of 2022. I just have to complete the fifth and final course and I will be done. Then I can look for employment either as a freelancer or an employee of a media company. It will be nice to apply the skills I learned to help clients.

I will continue to create content. I have no goals for writing, but would like to upload 20 photos like last year. I think these are doable.

A new goal for me this year will be to become fitter. I would like to gain 5 to 10 lbs of muscle and lose 1 or 2 lbs of my belly fat. My old scale says I’m currently 130 lbs so hoping I’ll be 128 to 140 lbs at the end of the year. This goal is to help improve my health and cholesterol numbers.

Can’t wait to work on these goal! Here’s to a spectacular 2022! Happy New Year!

Looking back at 2021

2021 was a mixed year for me, filled with some disappointments and some successes.

I’m still looking for a publisher for my novel. It has been declined by several already so I will try a couple more. Not going to give up yet.

I completed only one Web Design course this year. My goal was to finish two, but I didn’t have the stamina to do it. I needed a break. Because I’m not finished my program, I didn’t seek employment either. So perhaps next year.

As for content creation, I was able to write one article and was approved for 41 photos! So I definitely surpassed my goal of 0 articles and 20 photos. Quite pleased with this.

This year came with some health challenges. I injured my shoulder again. This time on my right side. It’s a lot better now, but not completely back to normal. I hope it will heal fully in the new year. I also had a stomach infection, H. pylori, in the summer. An intense regime of antibiotics seemed to clear it up. Overall, health-wise, I wasn’t doing too bad.

I have one more positive thing to add. This year I finally was to be capture birds in flight. It took several months, but I’m happy I can take photos of birds in action now.

So there were some ups and downs in 2021. The ups definitely trumped the downs. Not a bad year overall. Looking forward to 2022!
